Q: What is the Share Your Heart Gala?
A: The Gala is a major fundraising event for Sacred Heart Grade School. Proceeds go directly to school projects benefiting our student body. This will be the fourth annual Gala.


Q: When will the second annual Gala be held?
A: This year's Gala will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Berry Hills Country Club at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $150 per couple/$75 single in advance, or $180 per couple/$90 single at the door.


Q: What can I expect during the evening?
A: The Gala will include cocktails, and open bidding on silent auction items. The Berry Hills Country Club chef will be preparing delicious food, which will be served at stations. Later in the evening the excitement of the live auction will light up the night. Afterward it will be time to mingle with your friends, enjoy the live music, and dance the night away.


Q: How will I be able to pay for auction items?
A: The Gala provides you with the choice of paying for your auction items by cash, check, or credit card (American Express will not be accepted).


Q: What SHGS project will be funded by this year's gala?
A: Proceeds from the 2012 gala will go toward Phase II of Gift of the Present - Hope for the Future Capital Campaign, refurbishing "1033 Quarrier" making way for new Kindergarten, 4th & 5th grade class rooms with math and science labs to be completed before school starts in August. Also, middle school wi11 have a floor to house drama and robotics room. Charleston Catholic High school will have use of the building's top floor.


Q: What projects have already been funded by previous galas?
A: Proceeds from the first three galas were used to remodel the school restrooms, replace all of the students' desks, purchase new tables and chairs for the cafeteria, and purchase new Smart Boards for all of our first through fifth grade classrooms.


Q: What do we wear to the Gala?
A: What you wear to the Gala is up to you.  Let your own style be your guide.  Gentlemen wear suits or tuxedos. The ladies wear a wide variety of styles ranging from dinner suits, to your favorite black dress or maybe a gown.  Feel free to wear what makes you most comfortable.


Q: Who will provide the entertainment?
A: This year The Boomers will be playing our favorite dance music!


Q: Will wine and beer be available at the Gala?
A: Wine and beer will be complimentary at the gala.  Thanks to generous donors, guests can enjoy these without opening their wallets.  Liquor drinks can be purchased from the bar.  As always, soft drinks are available at no charge.
